Taiwan east coast

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13 - Kaohsiung. Uncle's rooftop before departure on a group bus tour. Nikon N70, Ilford XP2 Super.

Unknown locations on the drive from Kaohsiung to the east coast.
1:45 p.m. - unknown location
Sanxiantai 三仙台 and its famous arch bridge.

2:55-3:09 p.m. - Boardwalk to and through Sanxiantai volcanic rock formation.
3:20-3:33 p.m. - arch bridge.
3:39-3:40 p.m. - Frankenphoto. The foreground is 3:39, the sky is 3:40; two shots edited into one image using GIMP. This may be commonplace and hardly worthy of mentioning, but I consider it cheating and wouldn't post it without owning up: this may be an accurate portrayal of what the scene looked like (and visually appealing, I rejected either photo as unworthy of posting separately), but it's not an accurate portrayal of what my camera can capture in one exposure due to my skill. Otherwise, the only editing I do is brightness, contrast, removing dust specks and other aberrations on black & white negatives, and rotating to correct for one of my legs being shorter than the other.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14 - Ocean at dawn, Hualien.
7:58 a.m. - Arriving at Taroko Gorge, Hualien.
8:50-9:23 a.m. - Taroko Gorge.

10:03 a.m.
10:15-10:18 a.m. - reverse views.
Jugs of wine at a stop.

Ruins of someone's drinking hole, next to where we stopped for lunch. Flash.
1:12 p.m. - Where we stopped for lunch.
OCTOBER 15, 11:28-11:30 a.m. - Visiting an indigenous village, one of several tribes that originally inhabited Taiwan before Han Chinese migrated from the mainland in the 1600s.
12:02-12:05 p.m. - Indigenous tribes used to largely be marginalized in Taiwan, but the winds have changed and their cultures are protected under law.
12:27 p.m.
1:42 p.m. - Last day, heading back to Kaohsiung.
